Trisha Yearwood Gets Hollywood Star!

Trisha Yearwood is officially Hollywood famous.  On Monday, she received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.  Which, if you're counting, was the 2,805th star given out. Her husband, Garth Brooks was there to cheer her on, along with fellow country stars Reba McEntire and Carly Pearce. In her speech, Trisha said it was a surreal moment and that she was overwhelmed.  And then she went on to give thanks to Garth, too.  She said, "As many accolades and awards as he has won, I never see him get more excited than he does when I receive something."

Morgan Wallen Romance Scam

A Texas woman didn't just think she was dating Morgan Wallen, she thought the singer had given her a job and sent her first-person videos!
The encounter led her to "Social Catfish" the online equivalent of the MTV series, "Catfish". Desiree says she direct messaged the real Morgan Wallen on Instagram, just to say she liked his music. Later, a user with a similar Instagram handle DM'd her and they struck up a relationship. Over the next few months, she felt they were becoming more intimate, but Desiree never actually met "Morgan" in person. Instead, the fake Morgan sent many text messages and videos that the Catfish team would later determine was created using AI. Where this particular scam takes a unique turn is when the fake Morgan tells Desiree he'd like to give her a job. She applies and goes through the hiring process with what she thinks is a real staffing agency. She then turns over personal information like her social security number, bank account number, credit card numbers. . . The 34 year-old's story below proves that elderly people and those without technological savvy aren't the only ones vulnerable to online scams. She lost nearly $18,000.

Billboard's Richest Country Artists

Ever wonder how much money your favorite performer is bringing in? Here’s an interesting shot of the estimated net worth of Billboards top Country artists:

BAILEY ZIMMERMAN

Zimmerman was 10th on Billboard’s charts, but he wasn’t even in the records over at Celebrity Net Worth. Google estimates his net worth to be at $600,000

LAINEY WILSON

Wilson recently made headlines with her engagement to former Pittsburgh Steeler Devlin “Duck” Hodges, but she has been one of the biggest faces of country music for the past year. She finished 12th on the Billboard charts for 2024, and has an estimated net worth of $4 million

CODY JOHNSON

The country and rodeo star had a great year, finishing 11th on Billboard’s country charts. He has an estimated net worth of $5 million

SHABOOZEY

Considering the success of ‘A Bar Song (Tipsy),’ one would think Shaboozey might have come in higher than seventh on Billboard’s country charts for 2024. His fortune is estimated at $5 million.

JELLY ROLL

Jelly Roll has been one of the hottest country singers in the country across the past year, landing in eighth place on Billboard’s chart. He has an estimated net worth of $12 million

MORGAN WALLEN

Turns out, number one on the charts wasn’t number one in bankroll. Morgan Wallen was number-one on Billboard’s year-end chart, but Celebrity Net Worth estimates his net worth to be $12 million. That’s nothing to sneeze at, but it doesn’t put him near the top of the deepest bank rolls on this list.

LUKE COMBS

Combs had a big year, coming in at #3 on Billboard’s country charts for the year with an estimated net worth of $20 million.

ZACH BRYAN

Bryan  had a very good year, finishing second on Billboard’s charts, with an estimated net worth of $25 million

CHRIS STAPLETON

He has one of the best voices in country music, and he was able to parlay that into a fifth-place spot on Billboard’s chart for 2024. As far as his estimated net worth, that’s a cool $25 million

POST MALONE

Malone made the jump from hip-hop to country and fared well, coming in  fourth on Billboard’s country chart for the year. He has an estimated net worth of $50 million

Taylor Swift

Swift might not be very country anymore, but she still came in sixth on Billboard’s chart for the genre. As far as her net worth, she is a clear-cut number one with a whopping estimated fortune of $1.5 billion.

New Country Music Commercials

Jelly Roll parodies Cindy Crawford in a commercial for a new soda, Zevia.  It's a nod to the model's famous Pepsi ad from 1992.  Jelly Roll has been outspoken about his weight loss journey and making healthier choices for his body.  Zevia soda has no sugar, and uses stevia leaf extract for its sweetener.  The ad shows Jelly rolling up to a gas station in a pair of cutoffs. . .and, well. . .see for yourself.

In related foodie news, Lainey Wilson shared her new ad for Whataburger's Honey-Butter Chicken Biscuit.  She was announced as their ambassador back in January.

Chief's New Morgan Wallen-Inspired Drink

Eric Church's Nashville Bar, Chiefs, is selling a new drink inspired by Morgan Wallen's infamous chair-throwing incident.  Wallen was arrested in April of last year for throwing a chair from the roof of the six story bar.  The incident has since inspired the creation of "The Chair," a drink made up of Smirnoff raspberry vodka, raspberry liqueur, lemonade and a splash of soda. It's served in a red Solo cup with a mini folding chair hanging off the edge.
