Parker McCollum Takes a Fall

Parker McCollum took a fall on stage in New Mexico Friday night, just 5 minutes into the show. McCollum tripped on a riser, did a side somersault, rolled with his guitar in hand and jumped up to his feet with a very surprsied look on his face. Later in the show, McCollum brought out Corey Kent to join him for “Hell Of A Year.” Kent made his way onto the stage to “make sure Parker’s stairs were safe after the fall.”

Scotty McCreery Throws Out Fan

Scotty McCreery stopped his show at the Colorado State Fair last weekend after a man assaulted a woman in the crowd.  McCreery was in the middle of his first song of the night when he witnessed the event and paused mid-performance, calling for security.  While there is plenty of video footage after the event, police are asking anyone who may have video footage of the actual incident to come forward.

According to a study by the UNLV, sexual harassment and violence frequently occur at music events. Crowd dynamics, inadequate crowd monitoring, alcohol consumption, and other factors may contribute to the prevalence of harassment and assault in live music settings.
