Shark Week 2019 Rundown

**This post may contain affiliate links. We receive a small amount of compensation when you purchase from our links, which we'll totally blow on coffee for The Kicks Morning Crew!**

Shark Week kicks off Sunday, July 28th. We have the rundown of everything you need to know before it begins. You'll discover where to watch, what to expect and how to prepare.

How to Watch

Shark Week is an annual summer tradition you can find on the Discovery Channel during the week of July 28th to August 4th. Discovery Channel will highlight a series of Shark themed shows over eight days. The history of Shark week has included some very entertaining titles such as, Sharknado. Will this year's highlight movie live up to its predecessors?

You can also download the Discovery Go App to stream all the episodes the day after they air live.

What to Expect

This year the Discovery Channel is presenting a feature-length film titled “Capsized: Blood in the Water". The film is based on a true story about an October 1982 shark encounter. The movie will air Wednesday, July 31, at 9 p.m.

The Shark Week kicks off at 8pm Sunday with “Expedition Unknown: Megalodon." Discover the mystery of the giant shark that seemingly vanished in history.

Check out the full schedule here.

Prepare for Shark Week

The best way to prepare for Shark Week, in our opinion, is with comfy house clothes, a blanket and plenty of snacks. If you are a true shark week fan, you will want to deck yourself out with some of these goodies you can find on Amazon.

Stay comfy and ready to take a bite out of Shark Week with these Shark Attack Slippers

Cuddle up on the couch wearing this Scary Shark Poncho to keep distracting remote predators at bay.

This Great White Shark Bowl is an absolute must for Shark Week fans!

Of course, if you have a shark bowl, you need shark snacks. How about some shark gummies!

And finally, to keep you feeling safe and secure, bring along a Shark Stuffed Toy to keep by your side during those scary moments.

Now that you know when and where to be to watch Shark Week, you know what is happening and you are all set with your shark gear, be sure to invite a few friends over and make the week one to remember.

Lee Brice Life Off My Years Tour coming to the Wright State University Nutter Center

February 22, 2016 Lee Brice Gears Up For Life Off My Years Tour Rolling into Dayton, OH on April 21st Curb Records artist Lee Brice will celebrate the New Year by launching his "Life Off My Years" concert tour with special guests, Maddie & Tae, plus Dylan Scott. Lee will be taking the stage at Wright State University Nutter Center in Dayton, OH, on Thursday, April 21st. Tickets go on-sale Friday, February 26th and are available at the Wright State Nutter Center Box Office, by phone at 800-745-3000, and online at

About Lee Brice: The "evocative, rough-edged singer" (New York Times) has racked up an impressive four Platinum-selling singles (A Woman Like You," "Hard To Love," "Love Like Crazy" and "I Don't Dance") and achieved Gold with "I Drive Your Truck" and "Parking Lot Party." Brice is known for his consistently raw, emotional and energetic performances. Billboard has raved, lauding Brice's "power and passion" at this year's pre-ACM Awards show. Brice kicked off 2015 with a double ACM win (Producer and Artist, Single Record Of The Year, for "I Don't Dance"). The multiple Platinum and Gold Record honoree then performed on NBC's "The Voice," delivered a fea-tured performance on "CMA Music Festival: Country's Night To Rock" (ABC) and shared the iHeartRadio Music Festival's Daytime Village Stage with Kenny Chesney, Blake Shelton, The Who, Kanye West and other superstars. He was featured in USA Today for his use of Periscope to connect with his fans and had his song "Sirens" included on the new "MADDEN NFL 16" game and soundtrack. This 2015 CMA "Single Of The Year" nominee recently played his 50th state show in Rome, GA (11.15), becoming the first country artist to perform in all 50 states in 2015.

About Maddie & Tae: CMA award winners, MADDIE & TAE boldly introduced their debut single “Girl In A Country Song,” earning a #1 at Country radio, PLATINUM-certification and over 30 million views on VEVO. They are only the third female duo to peak their debut single at #1 in the history of the Billboard Country Singles chart. The pair, from Texas and Oklahoma, respectively, reveal a gumption rarely seen in newcomers, receiving praise from NPR, Entertainment Weekly, The Washington Post and USA Today, and topping Nashville Scene’s Annual Country Critics' Poll for Single of The Year. With national television appearances on the Late Show with David Letterman and TODAY show under their belt, Maddie & Tae premiered their second single, “Fly,” on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. Both songs are featured on their album Start Here, which is now available on Dot Records. They are currently introducing their third single, “Shut Up and Fish” to Country radio and released the accompanying music video December 8. The duo's Grand Ole Opry debut earned kudos from Opry member Brad Paisley while CMT selected the pair for their Next Women of Country and Country Radio Seminar chose them for the 2015 New Faces class. On the heels of such success, Maddie & Tae continue their winning ways with a CMA Award win for Video of the Year as well as nominations for Duo of the Year and New Artist of the Year. Earlier this year, they received their first-ever award nomination for ACM Awards Vocal Duo of the Year and three CMT Music Awards nods, including the win for Breakthrough Video Of The Year. At the end of 2015, Maddie & Tae wrapped their first headlining START HERE TOUR.

About Dylan Scott: Even in the tide of hopeful young singers rising daily in Music City, Dylan Scott stands out. It takes just a few seconds to hear why: after Scott's vocal begins on his single "Crazy Over Me," intimate, even conversational, and then soars on a rush of buoyant emotion, you know something special is underway. But that’s only the beginning. Scott's vocal on "My Girl" spans a vast range of expression, with its near-whispered verses, the almost inaudible "yeah" in describing his love, the intensity of the choruses and a spoken-word interlude that recalls both classic country recitations and modern hip-hop. On "Give Me More," he flavors his romantic plea with an R&B soulfulness that builds even as the backup tracks nearly dissolve, leaving Scott's voice in full command on its own. Drawn by Scott’s rich baritone, down-home personality and dynamic stage presence, his fan-base continues to explode. Dylan excels at engaging with fans as evidenced by his social media followers being up over 200% from last year and music streams totaling more than 12 million plays, including 4 million in just the past 90 days. In addition, total digital single sales have already topped 350,000.

Back To School time is here. Watch for buses & kids!

With Back to School time here it's time again to watch from those busses on the way to work and the kids making their way to school.

As the Indiana Department of Homeland Security points out “More children are going to be on sidewalks and at the ends of driveways waiting to board buses in the morning or getting off buses after school,” said John Erickson, director of public information for the state’s homeland security agency, which certifies firefighters and emergency medical responders. “Drivers need to slow down and be extra alert as they adjust to these new late summer conditions in which children are closer to streets.”

Children may be especially likely to wander into streets in neighborhoods that don’t have sidewalks, Erickson said. He stressed that children aren’t good at judging vehicle speeds and therefore may attempt to cross streets too close to oncoming vehicles"

Lady Antebellum are "Wheels Up" to Klipsch Music Center!

INDIANAPOLIS, IN (March 2, 2015) –– The band will begin the North American leg on May 1 in Lubbock, TX. The tour will continue through the fall with triple-threat entertainer Hunter Hayes and red-hot newcomer Sam Hunt rounding out the electric lineup.

Citi is the official credit card of the WHEELS UP 2015 TOUR with Citi cardmembers having access to pre-sale tickets through Citi’s Private Pass Program at, or visit to join the mailing list and be the first to know about VIP ticket information as more dates are announced.

“The magic of being with fans from all over the country is really why we’re ultimately all here”, said Lady A’s Charles Kelley. “Being able to play off each other on that stage is honestly where we have the most fun, and I have a feeling the crowd will already be on their feet when we get out there after starting the night with Hunter and Sam!”

Last year, Lady Antebellum launched their 7FOR7 initiative where they fulfilled seven wishes for seven fans in seven days. Continuing with their unique campaign, the band has partnered with Detroit-based Quicken Loans, the nation’s second largest mortgage lender, to pay the mortgages of seven families across the country for one year.

“Lady Antebellum has very devoted fans and we cannot wait to help several of them not only enjoy some great music through our sponsorship of this tour, but also enjoy a yearlong vacation from mortgage payments,” said Jay Farner, President and Chief Marketing Officer for Quicken Loans.

The trio’s “warranted leap to stardom” (Dallas Morning News) and undeniable chemistry has continuously commanded the attention of critics who continue to praise their “effortless harmonies and raw emotion” (The Washington Post) and “top-notch, high energy” performances (The Boston Herald).

Eric Church & The Outsider World Tour are coming to Cincy!

Tickets $62.50/$48/$28 plus fees on-sale at

CINCINNATI, OH – (Jan. 19, 2015) -- EMI Nashville recording artist Eric Church will bring “The Outsiders World Tour” to US Bank Arena in CINCINNATI, OH on March 21, 2015. Tickets go on-sale Friday, January 23 at 10AM at Special guest on this show will be Drive-By Truckers.

After closing out 2014 with country music’s top-selling album, the Platinum-certified and genre-busting The Outsiders, Eric Church storms in to 2015 with four GRAMMY nominations (Best Country Album for The Outsiders, Best Country Song and Best Country Solo Performance for “Give Me Back My Hometown” and Best Country Group/Duo Performance for “Raise ‘Em Up” with Keith Urban) and a new addition to his widely successful Outsiders World Tour 2015.

“Eric Church is our greatest working rock star” proclaimed Stereogum, referring to Church as “…. a down-home everyman whose conversational vocal delivery surges into something huge when it needs to and who comes off as a perfectly genuine human being even when leading the choreographed rigors of an arena show. And holy shit, he has songs.” The Philadelphia Inquirer described “how superior the North Carolina artist is, in style and substance, to other big-name pop-country acts packing sports venues these days,” while The Memphis Commercial Appeal predicted, “at this level, and on the strength of an album as sharp as The Outsiders, Church is arguably both the mainstream country artist of the year and the mainstream rock artist of the year and his show made a case for that blend….” The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette announced “…he's a contender for the new Boss of his genre. That genre is country, but this late bloomer from North Carolina is the kind of Southern rocker who will ‘Pledge Allegiance to the Hag’ (as in Merle Haggard) while also splashing some of Slayer's ‘Raining Blood’ into the intro to ‘I'm Gettin' Stoned.’”

Church’s current album, The Outsiders, debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Top 200 Albums Chart and the Billboard Country Albums Chart earlier this year, featuring his No. 1 hit “Give Me Back My Hometown” and his current single “Talladega.” The Outsiders is the follow-up to Church’s Platinum-certified album Chief, (named the 2012 Album of the Year by both CMA and ACM, and GRAMMY-nominated for Best Country Album) which featured five Top 20 singles: “Homeboy” (certified Platinum for sales in excess of one million singles); the Top 10 “Like Jesus Does” and the Top 5 “Creepin’”

(both certified Gold for sales in excess of 500,000 singles each); and two No. 1 hits “Drink in My Hand” (certified Platinum) and “Springsteen” (certified Double Platinum for sales in excess of two million singles). Church’s 2006 debut album, Sinners Like Me (2006) and his sophomore album Carolina (2009) are both RIAA Gold-certified. Carolina had three hit singles: the Top 10 “Hell on the Heart” as well as Top 20 hit “Smoke A Little Smoke” and Top 10 smash “Love Your Love The Most,” which were both certified Gold. Sinners Like Me spawned three Top 20 singles: “How ‘Bout You,” “Two Pink Lines,” and “Guys Like Me.”
